Course Overview

The Master’s Degree in Chemistry is aimed at providing graduates with a thorough knowledge and culture in the various fields of chemistry and a high level of scientific and operational preparation in the different fields of basic and/or applied chemistry, some of which well-established, others more cutting- edge. Depending on students’ choices, fields include: fine chemistry, biomolecules, supramolecular, chemistry, etc.; fields emerging or developing in terms of industrial application spin-offs, such as molecular devices and machines, new materials (for energy, electronics, optics, sensor technology); or fields that, privilege the acquisition of broad knowledge of advanced and unconventional chemical methodologies and techniques, as well as chemometric and regulatory knowledge.
The course of study is divided into five disciplines, the first four taught in Italian the last one in English:

Graduates of the Master’s degree in chemistry are qualified to promote and develop scientific and technological innovation, management and design of technologies and, in general, qualified professional activities in chemical disciplines.
Depending on each student’s specific educational path, the master’s degree in chemistry will provide access, in addition to the PhD in Chemical Sciences, to doctoral degrees in related disciplines such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Materials, etc.
