Requirements to enroll (AY 2026/2027)

Students in possession of a qualification valid for admission to a Master's Degree must:

  • Satisfy one of the following conditions:
  1. To hold a Bachelor's Degree in the class of Chemical Sciences and Technologies (L-27 based on the Ministerial Decree 270/2004, or class 21 according to the Ministerial Decree 509/1999);
  2. Candidates with a Degree other than Chemistry must possess at least 60 CFUs or an equivalent number of hours of lessons in courses related to Chemistry. The background must cover the following disciplines:
    • Analytical Chemistry (SSD CHEM-01/A)
    • Physical Chemistry (SSD CHEM-02/A)
    • General and Inorganic Chemistry (SSD CHEM-03/A)
    • Organic Chemistry (SSD CHEM-05/A)
  3. To hold a Degree obtained abroad and recognized as suitable by the Teaching Board. 

The equivalent of at least 15 ECTSs for each discipline is expected.

Candidates must also prove a sufficient level of knowledge of laboratory practices in the disciplines described above, equivalent to at least 24 CFUs (out of the 60 CFUs described above) or an equivalent number of hours of lessons in laboratory courses related to Chemistry.

•     Prove the knowledge of the English language to at least the B2 level of the Common European Framework (CEFR). Alternatively, the candidate must prove that they have taken a university-level English course worth at least 3 European Credits or the corresponding number of hours of instruction.

To enroll, prospective students must pass an admission test

Prospective students who have graduated with a grade higher than 92/110 in the class of Chemical Sciences and Technologies (L-27 based on the Ministerial Decree 270/2004, or class 21 according to the Ministerial Decree 509/1999) are eligible to enroll without an admission test. They must, however, register for the admission test by the deadline set by the University, even if they will not be contacted for the interview. 

Students who are close to completing their Bachelor’s degree and have earned at least 150 out of the required 180 CFU by the application deadline for the verification test may enroll conditionally, provided they pass the test.
